WOW!!! The best Pinot Noir we have ever tasted, can't think of enough superlatives to even start describing it... I can't wait to get up to Alexandra to taste the Gewürztraminer and the Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Jenny.
Dear Johnny,
This is a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed your Pinot Noir. I am not sure if you will remember us, you have so many visitors after all, but we were an English couple who stopped at Como Villa between Christmas and New Year 2011/2012. We arrived just as you were closing, and as well as your wines, sampled a white wine that was produced by one of your neighbours that you were considering selling.
Anyway, we bought a couple of bottles, and the Pinot in particular was truly excellent, wonderfully smooth and rich, really very unique I thought. I only wish we were able to buy it here in the UK! If so, I would be constantly stocking up. I hope all is well with you though, and congrats on making such a delicious wine! James and Alice.
On behalf of the Invercargill Workingmen’s Club Wine Section, I would sincerely like to thank you and your wife for your hospitality and allowing us once more to visit Como Villa and taste your amazing wines last Sunday.
Your outstanding restoration work at Como Villa was much appreciated by all, this is a great credit to all involved.
The wines we tasted were outstanding and we wish you all the best for future production.
